About The Event
The church Easter event is a joyous occasion that brings together our community to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ. This year, our event will be filled with traditional Ukrainian Easter customs and festivities.
Starting with a special Easter service led by our priest, Father Ihor from Sydney, we will reflect on the significance of Easter and its importance in the Christian faith. Father Ihor Holovko presence adds a special touch to our celebration, and we are grateful to have him join us for this occasion.
Following the service, we will gather for a festive celebration filled with Ukrainian traditions. Guests will have the opportunity to participate in Easter egg decorating, a cherished tradition known as pysanky. We will also bless Easter baskets filled with traditional Ukrainian foods, such as paska, symbolizing the joy of Easter and the abundance of God's blessings.
