Ukraine Independence Day falls on Monday, 24 August 2026. UAANT is preparing a community celebration in Darwin to mark the day with dignity, Ukrainian culture, and time together as a community.
Because the date falls on a Monday, we are considering two practical options: a short after-work gathering on the day itself, or a fuller celebration on a more convenient date. The most likely option is the weekend after Independence Day, with Darwin Sailing Club currently the preferred venue.

Before the program is confirmed, UAANT will coordinate with community members on the most suitable date, time, and format for the gathering. This will help us choose a celebration plan that works for families, workers, volunteers, performers, and guests.
