Our Projects
UAANT projects turn community needs into practical, focused support. We design these initiatives to remove barriers for Ukrainian newcomers and families in the Northern Territory.
Current Focus Areas
- Help refugees from Ukraine: Welcome pathways, orientation, and connections to essential services.
- Driver's license guidance: Step-by-step support to understand local requirements, prepare documents, and book tests.
- Visa support: Assistance with checklists and referral to qualified professionals where required.
- Psychological support: Peer support groups and referrals to trusted wellbeing providers.
- Residency petition assistance: Guidance on document preparation and community advocacy letters.
- Online consultations: Remote support for people outside Darwin or with limited mobility.
How Projects Are Delivered
- Community volunteers deliver local support.
- We coordinate with partner organizations for specialist services.
- Availability depends on volunteer capacity and funding.
